Here's a Quick Fish Story:

Dylan's really gotten into fishing lately, hitting the neighborhood ponds for some bass.

He went to a new pond yesterday with a bunch of friends known to have big bass.

After a few hours, they all go home, and he stays in the dark to catch the elusive catch.

He has a new bait caster and sees what he calls an 8 lb. bass under the water and goes after it.

He didn't catch it but had another one hit the line, he set the hook, and then it took off so hard it pulled the rod out of his hands, and the fish and rod were gone.

He calls me up almost in tears over it.

With a flashlight, I go pick him up and search the pond for it with no luck.

I go back the next day, look for it at lunch, and can't find it.

I then called Kellee and told her the only way we find it is if someone happens to get a hook on it and accidentally reels it in, or the fish is still attached to it, hook in the mouth, and dies and floats to the surface.

We told the neighborhood kids and moms about it and to keep an eye out for it.

A few hours later, the mom sends this picture of two of her neighbors who found the fish and rod.

Thanks to Bobby and Brayden for finding the bass and bait caster.
